We’re asking Team ROMEO how it’s been, adjusting to the “new normal”. In this “We Stand With You” we speak to Enrico.

What is your role in ROMEO/ERASYS: I work as Translator and Support Agent.

What do you do for our users: I am one of the first points of contact between our users and our site and I translate the site in Italian and sometimes in other languages 🙂

How are you finding working from home:

At first I thought It would be very difficult because our homes are full of potential distractions. After 20+ days, it is working very well. I miss the spontaneous interaction I have with my colleagues in the office, but video calls and chats are a good substitute.

Any tips for users doing the same:

My best advice is to find a good spot of your home and make it “your office”. Set clear boundaries of where your office finishes and your home starts. Discuss and negotiate these boundaries with the people (and pets!) you share your home with.

What do you usually do in your free time:

Gardening! I take care of the garden in my shared backyard. Also I often intervene in public spaces, cleaning them up, planting trees, bulbs, flowers and vegetables. Last autumn we had a street pumpkin-soup party with some neighbours when I harvested some huge pumpkins I planted in a neglected corner.

I also like to make music in my free time, singing (sometimes with my partner who is a professional singer and patiently sings with me..) or making my own music *blush*.

Last but not least, I make homemade natural cold-process soap. This is my relatively new hobby of the week ends. It revealed to be perfect for these long days at home and the amazing smell that the curing soap bars are diffusing in the air is priceless <3.

What are you doing to keep busy in your spare time:

Along with my neighbours we sometimes make “balcony concerts” in our backyard. Yes, I live in a community of musicians and we keep the spirit up by singing/playing all together from our balconies. We have a Facebook and Whatsapp group where we organise these concerts and then we make music!
